Celebrating Birthdays & Life

For five days we had a virtual birthday party celebrating and uplifting the unborn. We had party games, music, giveaways, inspiring stories, and we fundraised nearly $200 USD for Option Ultrasound with Focus On The Family! If you missed out, these were some of the highlights!

I enjoyed sharing many pro-life stories, but one of the most inspiring stories I enjoyed sharing was of Irena Sendler. During WW2, Irena smuggled 2,500 children out of the Warsaw Ghetto by using her status as a social worker and nurse.

She sympathized with the Jews and first brought food to them, but once the Nazis moved in and sealed off the ghetto, she saw the starving children and knew she needed to do something more

Inspired by her father’s selflessness, who died of typhus serving his patients, she said, “I was taught that if you see a person drowning, you must jump into the water to save them, whether you can swim or not.”

She became part of an underground network called Zegota, made up largely of polish women nurses, and together they smuggled children out through many means, one a forgotten courthouse back door connected to the ghetto. They also hide children under stretchers, trolleys, trunks, body bags and sedation.

Irena eventually was taken to prison, and tortured for information. She fed them false details, and they beat and fractured her legs and feet. She’d receive a death sentence by firing squad, but was saved by Zegota bribing a German guard in the nick of time. She remained hidden for the remainder of the war.

She saved a list of all the names of the children she helped, and after the war tried to unite as many families together as survived.

What makes Irena’s story truly profound was her commitment to love beyond her safety and welfare for a people who were seen as inferior and inhuman.

She even despised being called a hero, because she was deeply haunted by what she saw in the war and regretted not doing enough. It’s only because some Christian high schoolers who learned about her is how her story got shared.

This is what pro-life looks like.

you will know them by their fruits.

Psalms 139:13-16

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;

my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from you,

when I was being made in secret,

intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

If we the church do not stand by God's word, and defend life at its most earliest form, we will allow for great evil to run rampant through the world. When we question, "did God really say?"we're falling for the greatest lie in the book.

"Eve in Exile" book and (documentary on Canon Press) by Rebekah Merkle.

The book talks about the history of feminism and its hand in abortion, all in contrast to Biblical femininity.

I plan to add more books to this list after I have reviewed them. There are a few books about children neading rights that I'm hoping to get into. If you are still questioning why this matters to me, besides the Biblical factor, the abortion industry is also tied to the sex trafficking industry, not to mention euthanasia, which I wholeheartedly stand against. All these are Genesis one issues, and if we deny someone's intrinsic worth and hu
